The Arc Theatre was proud to produce Caryl Churchill’s “Top Girls” in early 2015.  One of Churchill’s most popular plays, Top Girls explores the clash between the ideas of feminism and capitalism in our modern age. The play inhabits the life and dreams of Marlene, a career-driven businesswoman, in a world that inflates the role of the individual over the celebration of collective group gain. In a world of the “Supermom” and a shattering glass ceiling, Top Girls reveals the conflict that comes with sacrifice for success and the ultimately flawed desire to “have it all.”

Top Girls was performed at The Den Theatre in Wicker Park January 16th through February 8th, 2015.

Our production of Top Girls was dedicated to Julia Neary.
